Hello, there. Today I’m going to share some quick beauty tips and tricks for all the office goers out there. I was going through the blog by Karen Anne who blogs at karenannemakeup.com which inspired me to write something today. She is a professional makeup artist now living in Australia. I love her makeup tips and how she innovates with different colours and styles.
It’s really difficult to manage your hair and make-up when you’re all the way rushing up in the morning, trying to find your car keys and getting your breakfast done. But the most important thing you need to know is, you’re beautiful just the way you are, and there is nothing more that attracts the eye when you’re confident in your own skin. However, here are some quick tricks on make up that can be easily opted for, all you need to have is 15 minutes in your hand and boom…there you look flawlessly beautiful.
Way to a spotless skin:
Prevention is always better than cure. Drink lots of H2O water as it helps to clear out toxins from your body, keeping your skin clean and healthy. Rather than applying a thick layer of makeup, little changes in our daily routine can actually create a noticeable difference. Exfoliating, moisturizing and toning are the keys to get a healthy skin.
Keeping it nude and natural:
You wouldn’t want to have a pile of make up on your face and end up looking like a zombie. Office make up should always be clean and classy. Get a polished look by applying some concealer or light tinted moisturizers. Avoid using heavy foundations; they often leave your skin looking greasy and shiny.
Go for the soft eyes:
A little liner around the corner is always going to do the trick. However, you can also use a dash of subtle natural eye colour. Keep your lashes looking long; they make your eyes look bright. So apply two or three good layers of mascara. Try using waterproof mascaras so they don’t smudge, just to be on the safer side. Some people use white eye liners to hide the tiredness, it also make your eyes look big and bright, but it is clearly optional.
Coming down to the pouts:
When it comes to your lips, always go for the light and neutral shades of lipstick like neutral pinkish brown. Personally, I’m a big fan of gloss; it boosts up your lips and gives it an instant shine. Keep aside the pop colours while you get ready for your office, it would make you look dramatic and you obviously wouldn’t want to grab the wrong kind of attention.
Some Do’s and Don’ts:
- Avoid using blushers; it might look a bit over the top.
- Try not to wear any glittery or shiny make up. Save them for the weekends!
- Stick to nude colours.
- Don’t go for smoky eyes or pop lip colours, sometimes very distracting as well.
- Never use fake lashes while going to your job.
- Though big eyelashes makes your face look fresher, don’t overdo it.
- Choose light weighted mascara rather than the thickening ones.
So, your ultimate goal was to get a flawless sophisticated look without spending a great amount of time. This entire routine is going to cost you a maximum of 15 minutes. Once you keep on repeating the same routine every day, you will usually get handy with the process. Spare 15 minutes every day from your schedule, because just a little effort can create a great deal.
